It’s hard to believe that we are back in the holiday season already. It seems like only yesterday that I was thinking about all that I have to be thankful for, and really, the list hasn’t changed very much over the past year; it has only been amplified.
First and foremost, I am grateful for our veterans, who paved the way for so many who followed them. We held an intimate blessing at the proposed site of the Village on Veterans Day. It was a touching reminder of why we are working so hard to give them a safe place to live.
I am grateful for my team of staff members and volunteers who invest immeasurable amounts of effort and passion into what they do each and every day.
I am grateful for our community. Both those who challenge our work and those who see very clearly what we are working towards. Without the challengers, we may not have every I dotted and T crossed. Our challengers help us refine and perfect our vision.
This holiday season, we hope that you will support our efforts. There are many ways that you can!
- Sponsor a Wreath
- Volunteer for the Warrenton Christmas parade
- Sign up for our January Volunteer Orientation
- Become a Hero Helper
- Celebrate your Birthday with us!
- Reach out to an elderly Veteran and ask if they need anything
Enjoy our November newsletter and I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season.
