Let me introduce myself…

While many of our newsletter subscribers are well-versed with the Hero’s Bridge mission and suite of services, we gain new followers with every newsletter. With this being the first newsletter of the new year, it seems like a fitting time to make some introductions.

My name is Molly Brooks, and I spent my career as a registered nurse serving the elderly. As the daughter of a Marine Corps veteran who died from health complications as a result of his service, the veteran community has always been close to my heart. In 2016, I merged my two passions and launched Hero’s Bridge, a grassroots organization with a mission to serve veterans aged 65 and older in our community.

The need for our services has been proven by our growth over the past eight years. I could never have imagined that after eight years we would be serving veterans locally, regionally, statewide, and even nationwide with our Battle Buddy Call Center. Our four core programs are run by a team of nine staff members and an army of dedicated volunteers.

As we begin a new year, I ask that you begin anew and join us in our mission to serve aging veterans.

Here are a few opportunities for you:

– Become a volunteer
– Join our Hero Helper Club with a recurring monthly donation
– Register yourself, or better yet a team, for our March 30 Vietnam Veterans 5K
– Make a donation to the Hero’s Bridge Village
– Sponsor a Brick for the Village
– Make a general donation
– Make a purchase at our Storefront

On behalf of the entire Hero’s Bridge team, we thank our followers for their continued support and look forward to meeting new supporters in the new year.
