While the New Year has everyone looking forward, I would be remiss in not looking backward for just a moment. Let me explain…
2023 marks Hero’s Bridge’s seventh year serving veterans ages 65 and older. During that time, we have had tremendous growth. From the geographic region which we serve to the number of volunteer hours we record each month, to our revenue which led to growth in our dedicated team, Hero’s Bridge has come a long way from its earliest days. And to all our supporters who donate with dollars and words of encouragement, we thank you.
While we have come so far, there are still mountains to climb. When I set out to serve aging veterans, it was with a kind word, a bag of groceries, and a shoulder to lean on. We have demonstrated that there is more we can do. This year we will see the Village project gain momentum and all of our program numbers and veterans served continue to increase.
We stand excited at the start of another year and we draw our strength and inspiration from the heroes we are so fortunate to be surrounded by each day. Read the full newsletter.
