The Vietnam Veteran’s 5K is not just a race, it’s a movement.

Vietnam Veterans Day is held annually on March 29. On March 25, Hero’s Bridge observance of Vietnam Veterans Day, we hope to see runners in every city, every town, and every rural corner, lace up their running/walking shoes and hit the pavement in honor of our Vietnam Veterans. In past years, people from 45 states and 3 countries have already joined us in this mission. The conditions will not compare to the hardships our veterans faced in Vietnam. We will not endure the heat and humidity or monsoonal rain or gathered rainwater. And we will not be under enemy fire.

Our race, and races nationwide, are part of a national effort to recognize the men and women who were denied a proper welcome upon returning home over 50 years ago.

The date, March 29, was chosen in perpetuity because it was on this day in 1973 that the United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam was disestablished and the day the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam.

Hero’s Bridge is honored to lead the effort with our annual 5K held the Saturday before the official day. We welcome teams to register throughout the nation to join us on this special day to honor our very special veterans.

The IN-PERSON Vietnam Veteran’s 5K is scheduled for noon on March 25 at Molon Lave Winery in Warrenton.

VIRTUAL event option for our national followers is available on the registration page.

Hero’s Bridge is pleased to host this event and inspire America to honor and commemorate our Vietnam Veterans. Thank you for honoring veterans with us!
