When the water stopped flowing at Army Veteran Jerry’s house, his daughter called in a plumber.
Their initial assessment was that the well had run dry, a fair determination given the drought conditions in the MidAtlantic where the veteran lives.
Fearing that the well would be dry for a prolonged period, she reached out to Hero’s Bridge for resources that could donate water to sustain him until the drought conditions improved.
Within 24 hours, a pallet of water donated by Christ In Action had been secured, and volunteers called in to load the pallet onto a truck bed and unload it at his house.
While Hero’s Bridge is currently monitoring the situation, the organization is confident that he will be taken care of while the region waits for rain.
You can help veterans like Jerry when unprecedented circumstances arise with a donation to Hero’s Bridge.
