Thank you to the The Piedmont Corvette Club that bought a Commemorative Brick!

The Chevrolet Corvette has long been considered America’s sports car. Therefore, it is no surprise that veterans love the Corvette, and Corvette owners love those that have served.

The Corvette was actually named after a small warship and the first Corvette came off the assembly line in 1953 near the end of the Korean War.

That first one would have set you back $3,498 ($36,256 in today’s dollar) and you could get it in any color as long as you only wanted white!

We were honored to have our local enthusiast club, the Piedmont Corvette Club of Virginia, be the first civic organization to sponsor a brick for our Village.

They are a fantastic group and a lot of fun too! We know they will continue to help serve our veterans when the Village breaks ground.
