Summer Camp Attendees Become Pen Pals with Veterans

The Plains Community League 2024 Summer Camp included pen pal letter writing to Hero’s Bridge veterans.

Director, Erica Young, reached out to Hero’s Bridge early this summer about a potential pen pal program. “We were delighted to partner with The Plains Community League’s summer program. One of the hallmarks of Hero’s Bridge is bridging generations and this pen pal program with our veterans did just that,” said founder and CEO, Molly Brooks.

At the conclusion of the program, Young sent a collection of photos to Hero’s Bridge of the letter writing in action.
