Spring is in the air… finally. I have enjoyed this week’s warmth and have thrown open the windows at home to welcome the fresh air.
The recent Arctic winds made it uncharacteristically cold for prolonged periods of time, ice storms wreaked havoc on trees, and winds blew for days.
During those wintry days, we kept tabs on our veterans who rely on wood to heat their homes and checked in with those whose antiquated plumbing threatened to freeze in their pipes.
We suffered the storms, bolstering our services to meet veterans’ seasonal needs, and continued our work to improve the quality of life for our aging veterans.
Because it’s just what we do.
We now look forward to Spring and all the new beginnings it promises!
