This month we welcomed new Battle Buddy volunteers from our Bootcamp training and have had more veterans reach out to us with a variety of needs.
One of our most touching stories includes a Vietnam Veteran who we were able to help during his wife’s terminal condition while also facing his own deteriorating health. His support involved a number of Hero’s Bridge volunteers who rallied to provide him with the care he needed. His story is included in this newsletter and serves as a wonderful example of the level of care we provide to veterans age 65 and older.
Hero’s Bridge is proud to be a part of the Vietnam Veterans Commemoration program and will work to recognize the service and sacrifice of all veterans who served during the Vietnam War. Read more here.
