With Vietnam Veteran’s Day next month, things have been busy for the Hero’s Bridge team. While we continue to serve our veterans and train our volunteers, we have other dedicated volunteers who have been working on our second annual Hero’s Bridge Vietnam Veteran’s Day 5K. Building off the success of last year’s event, organizers have added a few more exciting attractions to the event! Don’t delay your registration! Rates go up after March 1.
Sunday following the 5K, Hero’s Bridge partners with Capital Caring for the Vietnam War Commemoration at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. This commemoration gives lapel pins to attending Vietnam Veterans. Following the pinning ceremony, guests are welcome to tour the museum.
In this newsletter, we are excited to share with you some information about Warrenton’s own Tuskegee Airman who hails from a Fauquier farm and found his way to flight school in Alabama. Read the full newsletter.
