Since its onset, Hero’s Bridge has served the needs of aging veterans, identified as those who have served in our armed forces and are over the age of 65. Until this year, we have seen veterans primarily from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. However, for the second month in a row, we are welcoming veterans from more recent conflicts, such as Desert Storm.

With these veterans will come a host of new needs that will be identified in time. Hero’s Bridge is committed to tailoring our efforts to best address the needs of veterans…whatever those needs will be and will adapt our programs to meet them. At the same time, we will continue to serve and honor veterans in their most senior years.

One way we serve our Vietnam Veterans is with our Vietnam Veterans 5K. This is a run unlike any other. With this 5K, Hero’s Bridge hopes to create a nationwide movement that gets people outside, together, to run or walk a 5K in memory of the Vietnam Veteran in their life, or in memory of one of the veterans whose name is found on the Vietnam Wall.

Every month we look for new ways to honor and serve our veterans and proudly share that information with our supporters in each newsletter. Read the full newsletter.
