An informative training session on the Hero’s Bridge Program which pairs older veterans with younger veterans

Battle Buddy Boot Camp will be held on Saturday, July 28 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Warrenton Visitor Center. A light lunch will be provided to attendees. This Boot Camp is for those who have discussed the Battle Buddy program with Hero’s Bridge and are fairly certain they are ready to be a Battle Buddy. This session will cover the following topics:
- History and care of the aging veteran.
- Overview of the Battle Buddy Program, including expectations.
- Overview of other Hero’s Bridge programs available to Battle Buddies.
- Brief training on WorkPlace website where Battle Buddies communicate.
- Review of veterans waiting for a Battle Buddy.
Current Hero’s Bridge volunteers from any program are welcome if they would like a refresher and to learn about any new developments!
