A Note from Molly: April 2026 Newsletter

Apr 28, 2026 | Newsletter

As we finish up April, my heart is full.

At this time last month, so many of you came together for our Vietnam Veterans 5K, a powerful morning of remembrance, gratitude, and community. Seeing veterans, families, volunteers, and supporters show up in such a meaningful way is a reminder of what makes Hero’s Bridge so special. We don’t just serve veterans, we surround them with a community that sees them, honors them, and stands beside them. To everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, or simply showed up to cheer, thank you. You made that day more than an event. You made it a tribute.

In April, we celebrated Volunteer Month, a time that couldn’t be more fitting for our mission.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Hero’s Bridge. They are the friendly faces who visit veterans, the steady hands who help at events, the compassionate listeners who remind our heroes that they are not alone. In so many ways, volunteers are the bridge. To each of our current volunteers, please know how deeply grateful I am. Your time, your kindness, and your commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of the veterans we serve, and I am continually inspired by your generosity.

This month, we invite you to take that step, whether it’s your first time or your hundredth. There is a place for you here, and there is a veteran who will be better because of you.

Behind the scenes, we continue to move forward on our vision for the Hero’s Bridge Village. While progress in development often happens quietly and patiently, each step brings us closer to creating a place where older veterans can live with dignity, connection, and support. It’s not just about housing, it’s about belonging.

Thank you for being part of this mission. Whether you give your time, your voice, or your resources, you are helping us ensure that no veteran is left behind. Read the full newsletter.
