A Note from Molly: November 2025 Newsletter

Dec 8, 2025 | Newsletter

As we approach Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting deeply on our work at Hero’s Bridge and the many veterans, volunteers, donors and staff who make our mission possible.

This year has presented both significant progress and meaningful challenges. From the countless visits our volunteers have made to older veterans, to the momentum behind our Village housing initiative, to the everyday “bridge-building” moments of connection and service, I continue to be humbled by what this community can achieve together.

At the same time, I’m reminded of the simple power of gratitude. For the veteran who gets a ramp installed and regains independence. For the Battle Buddy pair who find friendship across generations. For each donor, no matter the size of the gift, who chooses to stand by our heroes. These acts may seem small in isolation, but when multiplied across our network, they transform lives.

In this season of thanks, I invite each of you to join me in a two-part focus:

Pause and appreciate: Take a moment this Thanksgiving to reflect on the freedoms and opportunities that exist in our lives because someone else served. Take a moment to think of the older veterans in your circle, those who quietly carried burdens and now face a different kind of service, lived in dignity rather than combat zones.

Reach out and act: Gratitude becomes action when it moves beyond thoughts and words. Send a thank you to someone who supports our veterans. Share Hero’s Bridge’s mission with a friend. Consider a small donation or volunteer hour before year-end. The ripple effect of one outreach can be profound.

Looking ahead to December and beyond, we will share exciting Village updates, sharing stories of individual veteran experiences, and planning for thoughtful growth in 2026. I am energized by what’s ahead and confident in our shared ability to make this next chapter our best yet.

From our team at Hero’s Bridge to your home and table, I wish you a peaceful Thanksgiving, meaningful connection, and renewed hope for the year ahead.
